without leaving Teams.

Your agency, vendor or partner lives in Slack. You live in Microsoft Teams. Link one channel on each side, and every message, reply and reaction shows up in both, with the sender's name on it.

Post in Teams, it's in Slack. Reply in Slack, it's in Teams.

Threads and reactions

Replies stay in their thread and emoji reactions carry over, with the sender's name and avatar.

One link to connect

Add Slack Relay to a team, connect a channel and send one link. Your contact picks the Slack channel.

Their team is on Slack. Yours is on Teams.

Today that means a guest login one person checks, or an email thread nobody does.

Their messages land in your Teams channelEverything your partner posts shows up in the channel your team already watches, as ordinary Teams messages.
Your whole team sees itA guest account in their Slack belongs to one person. A channel belongs to the team. Covering a vacation takes nothing at all.
The history stays in your TeamsThe conversation lives in your channel, under your retention and compliance, searchable next to your internal work.
Nobody switches toolsThey keep Slack. You keep Teams. Relayed messages carry the sender's name, so everyone knows who they're talking to.

What your IT team can review

The permissions

Granted for one team when the app is added: read channel messages and settings, read team members, manage its own tab, send activity notifications. Nothing tenant-wide, no admin consent in Entra.

The data

Message content passes through our servers in memory and is not stored. Identifiers that match replies and reactions, the Slack token and the contacts' emails are kept while a connection exists. Read our privacy policy.

The controls

Anyone in the organization can delete a connection. Removing the app from a team ends every connection it was part of. Admins allow or block the app in the Teams admin center.

Resource-specific consent keeps the review small: the permissions are listed in the install dialog, and they apply only to that team. Notes for administrators.

Keep the conversation connected.

Follow replies and recognize senders across Teams and Slack.

Two-way, in real time

Post in Teams, it appears in Slack. Reply in Slack, it appears in Teams. Both sides see the same conversation as it happens.

Threads stay threads

Replies land in the same thread on the other side, so conversations stay readable in both tools.

Reactions and emoji

A 👍 in Slack shows up as a 👍 in Teams, and the other way round.

Know who is speaking

Relayed messages carry the original sender's name and avatar, labelled with where they came from.

Set up from inside Teams

Add the app to a team and connect from the Slack Relay tab in the channel. Nothing to install on your computer.

Permissions per team

Access is granted for the team you add it to, when you add it. Nothing tenant-wide, no admin consent in Entra.

Nothing stored

Message content passes through our servers in memory and is gone. We keep only the identifiers that match replies and reactions.

Many partners, one Teams

Connect as many channels and Slack workspaces as you need. Each connection is isolated from the others.

Disconnect any time

Either side can delete a connection, and removing the app ends every connection it was part of. Both sides are told.

Common questions

Do I need admin approval to add it?

Many organizations let anyone add Teams Store apps to a team they belong to. If the Store shows Request approval instead of Add, send the request: your Teams administrator sees it in the Teams admin center and can allow the app for everyone. The support page has notes for administrators.

What does the Slack side need to do?

Open the link you send them, choose Add to Slack and pick a channel. It takes about a minute. If their workspace restricts app installs, a Slack admin approves it first. Nothing is relayed until they finish.

What is relayed?

Messages people post, threaded replies and emoji reactions, in both directions, as text with the sender's name and avatar. Files, images, edits and deletions are not relayed yet. Standard channels only.

Is message content stored?

No. Content passes through our servers in memory and is not written to disk. We keep the identifiers needed to match replies and reactions, the Slack token for the connected workspace, and the contacts’ names and email addresses so we can tell them when a connection stops. See the privacy policy.

What permissions does it ask for?

Resource-specific permissions for the team you add it to: read channel messages and settings, read team members, manage its own tab and send activity notifications. Nothing tenant-wide and no admin consent in Entra. Nothing is read until a channel is connected.

Can I connect several channels or partners?

Yes. Each Teams channel connects to one Slack channel, in any Slack workspace. Connections are isolated from each other, and anyone in your organization can see and manage them.

How is this different from a guest account in their Slack?

A guest account is one person checking a second app. A connection puts the conversation in your Teams channel for the whole team, under your retention and compliance.

How is this different from Slack Connect?

Slack Connect needs both companies on Slack. Slack Relay lets you stay on Teams.

How do I stop a connection?

Delete it from the Slack Relay tab, from the web after signing in with Microsoft, or from the Slack-side link. Removing the app from the team ends every connection it was part of. The other side is told in its channel.
